fans have seen the last of Sierra McClain’s Grace Ryder. The actor will not be back for any episodes of the Fox procedural drama series’ final season.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Lone Star co-showrunner/executive producer Rashad Raisani confirmed that McClain’s shocking exit back in June came “before we rolled any cameras.” Raisana revealed that the production “didn’t have access to her at all, as much as we tried.” 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 will be the first season to not feature McClain’s Grace Ryder, who in the show is a 9-1-1 operator, as well as the wife of another main character, Judd Ryder, played by Jim Parrack.
