After Alabama football’s 42-10 road win against Wisconsin Saturday afternoon, coach Kalen DeBoer said both safety Malachi Moore (head) and linebacker Qua Russaw (lower leg) are being evaluated for injuries.
Kalen DeBoer on injuries: Malachi Moore “got hit in the head. We’ll go through the protocol with him.” Qua Russaw: “Lower leg with him, we’ll continue to evaluate.”
Russaw left the game late in the second quarter with what appeared to be an ankle injury. His left ankle was rolled over by a teammate when he was pursuing Wisconsin quarterback Braedyn Locke. He did not return for the rest of the game.
DeBoer confirmed the lower leg injury for Russaw and said it was something “we’ll continue to evaluate.”
The Alabama defense also played much of the second half without Moore, who exited the game in the third quarter. Moore jogged off the field on his own and was escorted to the medical tent and later to the locker room after a tackle in the Alabama defensive backfield.
