Breaking news; Francisco Lindor announce fliting commitment to Toronto Blue Jays……..
Toronto starter Bowden Francis took a 1-0 lead and a no-hitter into the ninth inning until Francisco Lindor came to the plate. With one swing of the bat, both the lead and the no-hitter were gone. After Lindor’s home run tied the game the floorgates opened and the Mets set 11 batters to the plate and scored six runs in the inning. Francisco Alvarez capped off the inning with a mighty three-run blast to centerfield.
When Ryne Stanek couldn’t finish the ninth, Edwin Díaz entered for a one-pitch save to nail down the victory and to take the series in Toronto. The team will now enjoy an off day before a crucial weekend series in Philadelphia against the Phillies.
