Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow played one series in last week’s preseason opener, leading a touchdown drive. This week, he worked in joint practices with the Chicago Bears.
The star QB won’t play in Saturday’s preseason game in the Windy City but declared himself ready for Week 1 regardless of whether he participates in joint sessions with the Indianapolis Colts next week.
“When game one comes, I’ll be ready,” Burrow said on Thursday, via the team’s official website. “It doesn’t matter if we have one or not. Another one is going to be nice, but I’ll be ready.”
The Bengals kick off the 2024 campaign against the New England Patriots on Sept. 8.
