BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – WKU Football head coach Tyson Helton says quarterback TJ Finley will be out for “several weeks” with lower leg injury, thus making Caden Veltkamp the starter for the near future.
“I feel bad for TJ because he was putting together some good games and had done a really good job for us,” Helton said. “Hopefully, we can get him back in a couple weeks or so, but for right now he’ll be out for the next couple weeks.”
During the first quarter of the Hilltoppers game against MTSU this past weekend, Finley took a hit with 6:49 left in the quarter, with the defender taking him down with his full body weight onto Finley’s leg.
