Now, Everton – who Sky Sports believe could announce Dyche’s arrival at Goodison Park today – have made their move to sign Lammens.

That is according to another Belgian news outlet in Nieuwsblad.

They state that Everton are keen to bring Lammens to Goodison Park this summer – while also mentioning interest from Leeds – although there is a slight issue.

The Belgium Under-21 international wants to become the No.1 somewhere having acted as a backup for Simon Mignolet at Club Brugge, but doubts he will be able to dislodge Jordan Pickford from in between the sticks.

Club Brugge have already found a replacement in Joe Bursik, who they signed from Stoke, with Lammens set to leave for free at the end of the season regardless, when his contract expires.

Therefore, a move to Everton or Leeds seems likely for the Club Brugge No.91 if he drops his desire to become the immediate first choice glovesman wherever he goes.

So far this season, Lammens is yet to make a first-team appearance for Club Brugge, playing seven games in the Challenger Pro League which is mainly Under-21 players.

Pickford will not be dropped for a 20-year-old coming from Belgian football, while Marsch also has no reason to remove Illan Meslier from his starting XI – the Frenchman is one of the American’s best players at Elland Road.

Therefore, if Everton and Leeds really do want to sign Lammens, they will have to come up with a pretty convincing pitch to make him forget about his desire to become the No.1 immediately.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as it seems the shot-stopper will be leaving Club Brugge this month.
