West Ham United have been contacted by the agent of Juventus winger Filip Kostic about a potential transfer.

That is according to a report from Calciomercato.

It claims that Alessandro Lucci, who represents Filip Kostic, has reached out to West Ham and offered them his client.

This is not the first time there has been talk about the 30-year-old possibly moving to the London Stadium.

Kostic is a player who David Moyes has targeted before, with Sky Sports reporting last summer that the Hammers tried to sign him when he was still at Eintracht Frankfurt.

West Ham should consider signing Filip Kostic again

If there is a chance to bring in Kostic before the transfer window closes, it is not something West Ham should instantly dismiss.

The Serbian is a player who has a lot to offer. He is very versatile, capable of playing in multiple positions on the left flank.

Kostic is quite productive as well. For example, he provided 14 assists and scored four goals in the 2020/21 Bundesliga season.

As a left wing-back or left winger, the £55,000-a-week (Salary Sport) Juventus star is a threat.

West Ham do have options in the left-back and left winger positions, so perhaps Kostic does not need to be a priority for them right now.

However, considering what the Serbia international brings to the table, if he is not going to cost too much money, the east London club should give serious thought to signing him.

Whatever happens with Kostic, Moyes will be pleased with the business he has managed to do this summer. While West Ham have lost Declan Rice, James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez have soften the blow.

Mohammed Kudus’ arrival from Ajax is also quite an exciting one and should improve the Hammers’ attack. The 23-year-old recently scored a hat-trick against Ludogorets in the Europa League, showing everyone what he can do.
