Leeds United confirm deadline-day double swoop with Premier League side..

Leeds United have announced the loan swap of Jaidon Anthony and Luis Sinisterra in a deal with Bournemouth on transfer deadline day

A final deal has gone through for Leeds United after the closure of the summer transfer window. Luis Sinisterra will head to Bournemouth on loan for the season with Jaidon Anthony coming in the other direction.

The 23-year-old is the ninth arrival of the summer window at Elland Road and softens the blow of Sinisterra’s exit at the 11th hour. Anthony began his career at Arsenal, but moved to Bournemouth on a youth deal before ultimately graduating to their first team.

The winger has been far from a fringe option at Dean Court so far this season, starting three of their four games under Andoni Iraola up to now. Anthony, who will not be available to make his debut against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, scored eight goals in 45 Championship appearances when Bournemouth were promoted in 2021/22.

Sinisterra, meanwhile, has been open to a move away from Elland Road throughout the summer. While his relegation loan clause did expire in mid-August, his representatives have maintained it was triggered before that date, LeedsLive understand.

That was the legal issue which ultimately saw the Colombian removed from training before his reintegration last week. That debate flared up again with Sinisterra’s representatives this week, with legal action one possibility Leeds were not prepared to face.
In an effort to see Sinisterra replaced adequately before Friday’s deadline, offers from other Premier League clubs and Nice were rejected because they did not have the right players available to go in the other direction. Anthony made the Bournemouth approach make sense.
