Burnley boss Sean Dyche distances himself from Everton job - Eurosport

There will have been a degree of gratitude for most Burnley supporters who caught Sean Dyche’s post-match interview, following Everton’s narrow pre-season win at Stoke City. The former Clarets boss is preparing for his second season at Goodison Park, having led the Toffees to survival in the Premier League last season

Everton have added Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal and snapped up Ashley Young on a free transfer, but that is as far as their summer business goes at present. Dyche has managed to shift a few players on too, but incomings have been in short supply; a stark contrast to the work done at Turf Moor to date.

Dyche has seemingly missed out on signing Anthony Elanga, El Bilal Toure and Rodrigo this summer, leaving Everton in desperate need of further additions in order to steer clear of repeated relegation trouble. But the noises coming from the Toffees manager are – as the Burnley faithful flagged on social media – incredibly familiar.
