WATFORD: injury player made a fearful statement and made not be able to play next game.

Watford manager Slaven Bili given an update on midfielder Dan Gosling, who left the field on a stretcher seven minutes from time at Ashton Gate.

The 32-year-old, who has made 17 league appearances this season, appears to have sustained an Achilles injury, and Bili conceded after the game that the indicators were concerning.

“It looks like he’s going to be out for a long time, and we are really sad about this,” said Bilić. “He’s a top professional and he’s been brilliant for us.

“It’s a disaster, quite clearly. He’s been excellent at right-back, excellent in midfield.”

Covering for injuries in other areas of the pitch, Gosling has played at right-back for the majority of games he has started this season, and now faces a spell on the sidelines in recovery.
