Mehmet Koray Alperg and his girlfriend were abducted as they returned home from an expensive Italian restaurant in Mayfair, central London, last October, the Old Bailey was told. They were taken to an empty wine bar in White Hart Lane where Alpergin, 43, was allegedly beaten, strangled, burned, stabbed, mutilated and insulted. His body was later dumped in an Essex forest and his girlfriend Gozde Dalbudak, 34, spent two days locked in the toilet before being released, jurors were told.

On the evening of October 13 last year, his attackers ambushed him and Dalbudak after one of them planted a tracking device. It was claimed that when they returned to their Enfield home, father-of-two Mr Alperg was bundled into a white van while Daldudak’s masked knifeman drove the vehicle. Jurors were told the van and two cars traveled in convoy along White Hart Lane, Tottenham, which led to the back of the Stadium Lounge wine bar. Mr Aylett said: “It was here in the stadium lounge that Koray Alperg was murdered. Godze Dalbudak spent almost two days locked in the Stadium Lounge toilet. He was not released until the late afternoon of Saturday, October 15. Mr Alpergini’s naked body was taken to Loughton, Essex, where it was buried in woodland on October 15 and found hours later by a dog walker. Mr Aylett said a post-mortem examination revealed 94 different injuries on his body, which were covered in cuts and bruises. The prosecutor said: “She appeared to have received a severe blow to the head which actually caused brain damage. There were injuries to her neck consistent with the use of a tourniquet to strangle her. He had 14 broken ribs and a bruise on his chest suggested use similar to a baseball bat. – He had multiple injuries to his skin consistent with boiling water burns. Something sharp was inserted into the bottom of both legs.”
