IN DEAL:Tottenham race for £30m star player with  Burnley , guess which Club the player finally choose.

Tottenham have limited time remaining if they want to register any potential new signings for Saturday’s Premier League away clash at Burnley.

Following Tuesday evening’s disappointing Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Fulham, Tottenham return to action this weekend with a tricky away fixture at Burnley on the agenda. Given the almighty blow of falling at the first hurdle in a competition the Lilywhites potentially could have gone far in, Ange Postecoglou needs his team to bounce back in the best way possible by collecting all three points at Turf Moor.

Games at Burnley are always tough affairs, with this one promising to be no different at all as Vincent Kompany has formed a very promising team in Lancashire after taking on the job at the beginning of last campaign. By the time Spurs take to the pitch at Turf Moor, Postecoglou could quite possibly have a couple of new signings in his armoury as the transfer window closes for business on Friday evening.

Now in the final two days of the summer transfer market, clubs have until 11pm on Friday to complete any remaining business. Tottenham look set to be extremely active ahead of the deadline as a couple of fresh faces could come in as a number of the current squad head out of the door.

One player who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the past week is Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson. Postecoglou’s number one target when it comes to strengthening his attack before the transfer window comes to an end, the Wales international will not come cheap with his current club believed to value their player at around £50million.

As well as a potential deal for the highly-rated attacker, Spurs could also look to strengthen other key positions, including centre-back and midfield. Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been linked with a late switch across the capital, with football.london reporting back in June that he is a player of interest to Tottenham.

If Tottenham do indeed add to their squad prior to the 11pm deadline and want new signings to be involved at Burnley, they will need to have registered them by midday on Friday. Premier League rules stipulate that players must be registered by 12pm the working day before a game in order for them to play
