Despite not playing: Daniel Farke says he has to praise surprise Leeds player after Watford win Daniel Farke singled out Charlie Cresswell for praise after Leeds United’s 3-0 win against Watford today. Farke was speaking at the post-match press conference after Leeds’ first win of the season at Elland Road, where it was his duty to praise Cresswell. Cresswell was again an unused substitute for Leeds after Liam Cooper was replaced at centre-back without the suspension of Joe Rodon. The 21-year-old was not even on the bench for Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Hull City in what has undoubtedly been a disappointing start to the season for him on a personal level. After signing a new deal in the summer, there were hopes that this would be his breakout season at Leeds, although he has not played a single minute in the league since his second spell at Birmingham City.
