Liverpool report £46m pre-tax loss - Punch Newspapers

The Reds have won seven in a row in all competitions during their steady march, but this weekend will be their toughest test of the season so far. Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side can make an impact against the team below red in the table if they are to maintain their impressive 2023/24 season. Here’s a list of everything you need to know ahead of Tottenham vs Liverpool. 1. Team News – Trent is back Jurgen Klopp said Trent Alexander-Arnold is in the squad and the right-back trained as usual on Thursday and Friday. However, it is unclear if he will start. Joe Gomez is in good shape if you don’t want to risk Trenton. With Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago and Conor Bradley the only absentees, Klopp has no other major problems. 2. Son Heung-min took the armband for Spurs and scored five goals in six league matches this season. He has also scored four goals in his last five games against the Reds and will be hoping to continue that trend against a much improved Spurs side. New signing James Maddison has also had a busy life in London with three goals in his last eight games against Liverpool. Probable Spurs XI: Vicario, Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie, Sarr, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Maddison, Solomon, Son 3. (Photo by David Rawcliffe/Propaganda) Ange Postecoglou has made an impressive start to life at Tottenham as his side secured four wins and two draws from a difficult opening series. Spurs are two points behind Liverpool and could overtake the Reds if Klopp is handed his first defeat of the season. Postecoglou himself is a nice guy – and not just because he was a Liverpool fan as a kid! “Liverpool was my team, but you grow and things change,” he said on Friday. “I loved ‘Happy Days’ [the TV show] back then too!”
