West Ham defender Aaron Cresswell is at risk of missing the games against Lincoln City and Sheffield United, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that there is a chance of re-injury with hamstring blows so the Hammers medical staff will be cautious over green-lighting his return.

David Moyes said that he felt his hamstring in the TSC Europa League clash and has been missing in action sinceWest Ham

Speaking exclusively with West Ham Zone, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:

We do know that it was an issue he was carrying into the game so there’s an obvious risk there playing him.

I doubt the club will have him play a full 90 on his return if fit for the weekend as hamstring injuries require methodical adaptation due to reinjury risks.

The Hammers travel to Sincil Bank to take on Lincoln in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, 27 September – a game Cresswell would’ve played had he been fit.

This season, Emerson has been the go to option at left-back for Moyes with the Englishman no longer a first-team regular.

It seemed that Cresswell was on his way out in the summer with Wolves showing an interest and it remains to be seen if he does end up leaving in January.
