report:Anthony Musaba Has been suspended today and He’s no longer playing for Sheffield Wednesday till January…..

Sheffield Wednesday manager Xisco Munoz believes new signing Anthony Musaba can provide the ‘X factor’ for his side this season. The Dutch winger arrived on a permanent basis from AS Monaco this week and was thrust into the limelight with a quickfire debut 24 hours later – despite having barely got to know his new teammates.

Despite the lack of preparation within his new surroundings, Musaba impressed in his brief cameo against Southampton in Friday’s Championship curtain-raiser. He came on as a substitute and made an impact after replacing goalscorer Lee Gregory for the final quarter of the contest.

When asked by Yorkshire Live about how Musaba has bedded in to life at Hillsborough, Munoz said: “I know about him and the velocity he has. I know he can go into space and his capacity for one against one. In 20 minutes (against Southampton) he showed this.

But he arrived only at 2.30am the day before, he spent the night in the hotel and we have to remember that he’s 22-years-old. Tonight I put him out there and we tried to give him the maximum love and I’m sure we can see the best of him because he’s a very good player.

Good players can adapt well but it’s clear he was at Monaco and now he’s arrived. I gave him a two-hour video (session) yesterday, two hours today and maybe he’s thinking I’m crazy! (to throw him straight in) but he understands the situation and he has the capacity.

We’ll see in the next week as he has to improve in terms of intensity because this league is a high intensity with stronger duels. Maybe in another country it’s different. This is what we need to start working on with him. This is one of the values our club needs. He’s a young guy with a very good future which is important for the Championship. You need a good balance: Experience, youngsters and power – you need everything.”
