Ipswich Town have made moves for two Premier League youngsters, according to The Sun.

The national paper reports that a £3.5m bid has been made to sign Everton striker Ellis Simms, while the Blues are ‘close to clinching’ a season-long loan for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

Following productive loans spells at Blackpool (League One) and Hearts (SPL), Simms started last season at newly-promoted Championship club Sunderland.

Seven goals before the turn of the year saw the 22-year-old recalled by the injury-hit Toffees and he featured 11 times in the Premier League (two starts), scoring an important late equaliser at Chelsea as Sean Dyche’s men beat the drop.
