Leeds United are back in Championship action tonight when they host Gareth Ainsworth’s struggling QPR side at Elland Road. The Whites are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Southampton where their six game unbeaten run came crashing down.

Daniel Farke’s side had gone the whole month of September without conceding, but that defensive run also ended at St. Mary’s and they’ll be keen to restart that clean sheet run tonight. Patrick Bamford made his first appearance of the season as a late substitute against the Saints and Farke has hinted he could rotate his side.

Junior Firpo

Junior Firpo has also been absent for the whole campaign so far and is set to be sidelined until after the October international break.

What Farke said (October 3): “With Junior Firpo, yes he will also just be back in training on the other side of the international break. So no chance for him to come back.”

Wilfried Gnonto

Italy international Wilfried Gnonto was forced off against Hull City last month with an ankle problem and has undergone surgery that will keep him out until after the international break.

What Farke said (October 3): “I would say with Willy Gnonto and Djed Spence, everything is on track there. They’re recovering nicely but they won’t return before the international break.”

Djed Spence

Tottenham loanee Djed Spence suffered a knee injury in training earlier this month, with the club putting out a statement confirming he would miss up to eight weeks.

What Farke said (October 3): “I would say with Willy Gnonto and Djed Spence, everything is on track there. They’re recovering nicely but they won’t return before the international breaking.

Daniel Farke revealed Stuart Dallas had returned to individual training after a setback in team training this week.

What Farke said (October 3): “Stuart Dallas has joined us in team training already in the last days. He had to return back to individual training so he’ll be back in team training in the next days. Like I mentioned, it’ll last a few weeks until he’s really a topic for selection.

“Yes there was a little setback in training and for that he had to return to individual rehab work, but in the next couple of days he’ll return back to team training. Again, it will last a while until he’s back for team selection but it’s good he’s that close again. It’s always good when he’s back on the training pitch.”
