Tottenham send message about rescheduled Liverpool game and who will replace Manor Solomon

Luis Diaz’s disallowed goal in Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Liverpool on Saturday evening continues to dominate the headlines almost one week on from the unfortunate event.

Following the release of the VAR audio from PGMOL on Tuesday evening, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was asked for his verdict when he faced the media on Wednesday afternoon.

Rather than answer questions about their Europa League opponents Union Saint-Gilloise, the press conference continued to be dominated by the error in last Saturday’s game at Tottenham. During his time with the media, Klopp stated that the only outcome should be a replay, although he did admit that his request probably won’t happen.

Given everything Klopp had said in his press conference, some Spurs fans were given an almighty fright almost 24 hours later. A notification from Tottenham’s official app read: “Our home league clash with Liverpool has been rescheduled.” The alert however was to do with a new date for the Women’s Super League fixture between the sides.

Our Tottenham correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discuss that cheeky app notification from Tottenham and Klopp’s latest comments in the latest episode of their Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham podcast.

Manor Solomon’s injury is also on the agenda as the winger suffered a meniscus injury to his right knee in training this week. Spurs confirmed that the Israel international underwent surgery on Thursday and will commence his rehabilitation with the club’s medical staff immediately.
