Alex Mowatt must start in West Brom v Coventry City after stunning three key pass QPR cameo

West Brom manager Carlos Corberan has plenty of big decisions to make for the upcoming trip to Coventry City.

The Baggies take on last season’s play-off finalists in Championship action on Monday (30 October). The home side currently occupy 20th place in the league table, with the visitors sitting five points ahead in ninth.

The Albion make the trip on the back of a 2-0 victory against 10-men QPR on Tuesday (24 October), with Brandon Thomas-Asante and Grady Diangana having got the goals.

The attacking duo certainly impressed at The Hawthorns, but one player that also shone brightly was midfielder Alex Mowatt, despite being on the pitch for just 36 minutes. The 28-year-old replaced fellow midfielder Okay Yokuslu early in the second half, impressing in various areas.

As per Sofascore, Mowatt boasted a 92% passing accuracy and won his only duel, as well as making two interceptions and one tackle.

Most impressive, however, were his three key passes, a joint-high for the match, with his teammate Diangana also making three, although the latter did play the entire 90 minutes
