“For us, we’ve got a lot of maturity, guys that have played a lot of ball on the offensive and defensive lines,” said Heupel. “Our skill guys are meshed with some young guys there, too. This has been a group that’s been really mature. I just love the way they attack every single day — it was true in the first quarter (of the offseason) when we were in the weight room and working change of direction and building speed. It’s been true for the six days during the course of spring ball. It’s still really early in our journey as a football team on the field. We gotta continue to grow. Those young guys can’t be young guys by the time we get to fall. As long as they continue to attack every day, we’ll be in a good position when we get That focus and determination that Heupel is describing is why fans should have confidence that Tennessee can accomplish something special in 2024.
