Ask, and you shall receive. According to Hayes Fawcett of On3 SPorts, Alabama earned a commitment from three-star defensive lineman London Simmons.

Simmons, a member of the 2025 recruiting class, committed to Alabama over Arkansas, Florida State, and N.C. State. The 6-foot-3, 295-pound defensive lineman is from Hartfield Academy in Flowood, Mississippi.

According to On3 Sports, Simmons is ranked as the No. 602 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class. He is the No. 60 overall defensive lineman and the No. 14 overall player in the state of Mississippi.

Simmons visited Alabama this past weekend. His primary recruiter was his future position coach and Alabama defensive lineman coach Freddie Roach.

Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class currently looks like this:

Alabama football’s defensive line of the future got a boost Sunday, when 2025 recruit London Simmons announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide. Simmons, a three or four-star prospect on the national recruiting services, announced the move on social media Sunday, in conjunction with Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.

Simmons, who plays his high school football at Hartfield Academy in Mississippi, is a three-star recruit on 247Sports, and a four-star on On3 and Rivals. He chose the Tide over a group of suitors that included NC State and Mississippi State.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound Simmons had 15 sacks during his junior season. He made 80 total tackles, 25 of them for loss, and forced three fumbles.

Simmons became Alabama’s 16th commitment in the class of 2025, a number that includes punter Alex Asparuhov. The class is ranked No. 3 nationally on the 247Sports composite.

He became the second defensive line commit in the class. The group also includes Saraland’s Antonio Coleman, a four-star prospect who committed in March.

The class of 2025 has continued to take shape in recent weeks, with more commitments likely on the way, as Alabama continues to host official visits in Tuscaloosa. The group will be Kalen DeBoer’s first full class as head coach of the Crimson Tide, after he took over for the retired Nick Saban in January.
