The Texas Tech football team has lost another outside linebacker for the season with a knee injury.
Tech announced in Monday’s availability report that junior Joseph Adedire will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury. He joins fellow outside linebacker Dylan Spencer as being sidelined for the year after the sophomore suffered a knee injury of his own in the first week of preseason camp.
Adedire underwent shoulder surgery each of the last two offseasons and was expected to play a key role in this year’s defense. He missed Saturday’s 52-51 overtime win over Abilene Christian.
Elsewhere on the availability report, outside linebacker Charles Esters III (thigh) and defensive back Javeon Wilcox (knee) are listed as out for this week’s matchup at Washington State (9 p.m. CT Saturday, FOX).
