Former Iowa Hawkeyes QB hints on visit to Iowa.
Iowa QB Situation Remains Mystery
IOWA CITY, Iowa – It could be a quarterback controversy. At the very least, it’s a discussion. So, let’s have it.
First, we go to the man in charge : Kirk Ferentz.
The Iowa coach didn’t name a starter after Saturday’s 40-14 homecoming thumping of Northwestern. The Kinnick Stadium crowd cast its vote when Brendan Sullivan replaced Cade McNamara in the second quarter, but that ballot will not be recognized.
First-year coordinator and quarterback coach Tim Lester has a say. Ferentz does, too, and carries veto power. We hear from one guy a couple times a week, and the other speaks publicly several times a year. We’ll need telepathy for Lester’s thoughts on the current situation.
