Meet 19 year old Alec William Arinello of Windham, New Hampshire, who reportedly traveled to South Carolina for college and immediately made New Hampshire part of the conversation.

On January 14, police were called to a home near Coastal Carolina University after a woman woke up and found Arinello allegedly standing in her bedroom.

In case waking up to a strange man beside your bed wasn’t enough, things got weirder from there.

The couple locked their bedroom door because they didn’t know if he was armed.

Arinello reportedly left the bedroom and went directly to their refrigerator.

Because apparently nothing builds an appetite like being caught standing over two sleeping strangers.

Police say he removed queso, eggs and salsa from the refrigerator.

He poured the queso over the television and furniture, smashed the eggs on the floor and flipped furniture over.

Then the neighbors started coming outside.

Apparently, this was not Alec’s first visit of the morning.

Another resident told police someone had broken into their home and poured maple syrup over the television, speakers and throughout the house.

Queso at one house.

Maple syrup at another.

By the third house, police were probably checking to see if anyone was missing pancakes.

Investigators also say surveillance footage showed Arinello taking two golf clubs from one home and a marijuana bong from another.

Police later found the golf clubs, the bong and a stolen Corona bar light inside his Jeep.

Golf clubs.

A bong.

A Corona bar light.

That is less of an evidence inventory and more of a college freshman starter pack.

When police spotted Arinello, he reportedly ran through the Coastal Carolina campus.

Officers established a perimeter and eventually found him hiding behind a bush near the baseball stadium.

After several occupied homes, multiple televisions, queso, salsa, eggs, maple syrup, golf clubs, a bong and a Corona bar light, the grand escape plan was apparently:

Bush.

Arinello was arrested and charged with three counts of first degree burglary.

Folks, burglary is already illegal.

You don’t have to make nachos out of the television.
