Leeds United have been linked with a potential move for Borussia Dortmund defender Nico Schlotterbeck, with a reported €90 million figure making the story particularly eye-catching.

However, there is an important point to clarify: there is currently no confirmed €90m transfer agreement between Leeds and Schlotterbeck. Dortmund officially extended the Germany international’s contract until 2031 in April 2026. 

Schlotterbeck has established himself as an important defender for Dortmund since joining from Freiburg in 2022. The club described him as a key player and said his new contract was of “enormous significance.”
