FC Bayern München could reportedly have Christopher Nkunku on their radar as the German giants continue to monitor attacking options for the future.
The French forward has plenty of Bundesliga experience, having previously enjoyed an outstanding spell with RB Leipzig. Between 2019 and 2023, Nkunku made 172 competitive appearances for Leipzig, scoring 70 goals and providing 56 assists, according to Sky Sport.
Nkunku eventually moved to Chelsea in 2023 before joining AC Milan in 2025. However, his latest chapter has taken him back to Germany, with RB Leipzig confirming a season-long loan from Milan in August 2026.
That current situation makes any Bayern move a longer-term possibility rather than an immediate transfer. Bundesliga’s current-season coverage confirms Nkunku is back at Leipzig for the 2026/27 campaign and has already made an impact, providing an assist on his second debut.
Bayern have previously been linked with Nkunku. Reports in 2025 said the club had explored the possibility of signing him from Chelsea, although a deal did not materialise at that time.
For Bayern, Nkunku’s versatility would potentially make him an interesting option. The 28-year-old can operate across the attacking line and has previously demonstrated his ability to contribute both goals and assists at Bundesliga level.
For now, however, Nkunku remains an RB Leipzig player on loan from AC Milan, meaning any Bayern interest would have to develop alongside the terms of his current situation.
The Bayern–Nkunku links are therefore one to watch, but there is currently no confirmed agreement between the player and FC Bayern München.
