The Kentucky Wildcats and Coach Mark Pope seem to be gaining some recruiting momentum on the trail. After landing Malachi Moreno while things trend in the right direction for Jasper Johnson, Pope and his staff want to flex some recruiting chops.
In addition to that, a top target for Mark Pope has scheduled an official visit to Lexington in the coming weeks.
2026 four-star Miikka Muurinen has scheduled his visit to Kentucky for the weekend of September 14th, coinciding with the home football game vs Georgia.
Muurinen was offered by Mark Pope back in July after he averaged almost 18 points per game at the Nike Peach Jam. Muurinen also has visits scheduled to Utah and Duke, with Kentucky falling in the middle of those two.
Muurinen is an interesting prospect in terms of rankings. 247 Sports has him ranked the No. 44 overall prospect and the No. 9 power forward, while On3 has him ranked as the No. 10 player in the country. He is a consensus 4-star prospect.
