Challenging, that’s just what life looks like in the SEC,” Beamer said on SEC Now. “It’s challenging for us every year just because we play Clemson in the beginning of the season. We’ve got Virginia Tech, another power four team the beginning of the season, and then, as always, a really, really, really challenging SEC schedule. So you know, the thing that you know jumps out. There’s a lot that jumps out, but certainly this year, because of the schedule, we know that next year is the same, just the locations are flipped.”
Speaking on the toughness of their schedule, Beamer said, “It was a very former SEC West heavy schedule.”
“And then that’s basically what the month of October is. If I’m not mistaken, it’s like Ole Miss LSU, Alabama, and Oklahoma, four in a row there in the middle of the season as well. So that’s that’ll be challenging.”
South Carolina already anticipated the kind of challenges heading towards them since they played against most of them this season, their 2025 schedule just put a date to it.
But that’s the real challenge for Beamer and Co. Since the Gamecocks have already taken on most of the teams, either at home or on the road, winning will be more important as their wins and losses would determine how much the Gamecocks developed during the season.
The USC coaching staff will be looking down the barrel of a ton of heat and hot seat rumors if their record falls below this season’s 9-3.
