Red Raiders Make Their Mark at No. 22 in USA TODAY Coaches Poll
LUBBOCK, Texas (News Release) – The have made a notable entry into the national rankings, debuting at No. 22 in the USA TODAY Coaches Poll. This comes as the team sits tantalizingly close to breaking into the AP Top 25 Men’s Basketball Poll, garnering the most votes just shy of the list.
With an impressive record of 3-0, the Red Raiders are off to a flying start this season. They currently hold the No. 9 spot on Kenpom.com, following dominant victories against Bethune-Cookman, Northwestern State, and Wyoming. Tonight, they set their sights on Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
This week, the Red Raiders will showcase their talents in Brooklyn as they participate in the Legends Classic. Their first clash is against Saint Joseph’s, scheduled for 8 p.m. (CST) on Thursday, after which they will either face Texas or Syracuse on Friday at the famed Barclays Center.
