Canadian Football League all-star receiver Austin Mack has rejoined the Montreal Alouettes after a stint with the Atlanta Falcons.

He was released after the NFL team’s first preseason game. Mack’s exclusive CFL rights belong to the Alouettes through February 2025.

The 26-year-old recorded 78 receptions for 1,154 yards and four touchdowns with the Alouettes in 2023. He was a key part of the Als’ CFL championship run, making 13 catches for 185 yards and two touchdowns, including a 104-yard performance in the Grey Cup.

Mack went unselected in the 2020 NFL Draft coming out of Ohio State University but signed with the New York Giants shortly thereafter. He played 11 games with the team that season and made seven catches for 91 yards.

The six-foot-two, 215-pound target was released by the Giants in 2021 after being placed on injured reserve. He briefly joined the practice roster with the Tennessee Titans before signing with the San Francisco 49ers. The Fort Wayne, Ind. native attended training camp with the 49ers in 2022 but was waived as part of the team’s final cuts.

Mack ran a 4.59-second forty-yard dash at the 2020 NFL Combine along with a 31.5-inch vertical jump and nine-foot, nine-inch broad jump. He made 79 catches for 1,050 yards and six touchdowns over the course of his collegiate career with the Buckeyes.
