wo Kansas State football offensive linemen who suffered injuries in last Saturday’s game at Tulane, at least one should be available this week.
K-State offensive coordinator Conor Riley said he expects starting right tackle Carver Willis to play when the No. 15-ranked Wildcats (2-0) play host to No. 18 Arizona (2-0) at 7 p.m. Friday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Left guard Hadley Panzer’s status remains up in the air.
“Carver has progressed really well throughout the week, and he had a good day of practice yesterday. He’s feeling really good today,” Riley told reporters Wednesday afternoon. “Hadley has been very limited to this point. We’re going to see where he’s at today and kind of evaluate as we go.
“Carver getting hurt and appreciating his effort, but getting hurt, I think, on the second series of the Tulane game and battling it through,” said Riley, who in addition to his coordinator duties coaches the offensive line. “But it did impact his play.
“So, I feel better about Carver than I do Hadley right now.”
