Top prospect wide receiver decommit from Hoosier Flip his commitment to Florida State Over Penn State Nebraska football and Tennessee welcome to FSU..

 

FSU has taken another hit to their 2025 recruiting class. On Thursday, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. decommitted from the Seminoles.

 

Jones is the No. 237 overall recruit, the No. 21 quarterback, and the No. 36 prospect out of Florida per the 247Sports composite rankings.

 

This isn’t surprising by any means. The Seminoles are 1-9 and will likely end up with two wins at the most for the season. The cost of losing is huge in college football, and Florida State is just experiencing it first hand.

 

The redshirt senior appeared in 27 games during his time in Tallahassee as a reserve wide receiver. He caught 10 passes for 92 yards and rushed 10 times for 46 yards.

 

Spann was the first FSU player to enter the transfer portal and is the fifth of FSU’s 17 transfer portal departures to commit to a new program. He will have one season of eligibility at PittsburgFormer Florida State wide receiver Deuce Spann has found his new home. The Florida veteran committed to the Pitt Panthers on Friday afternoon, On3’s Pete Nakos was the first to report the news.

 

Spann spent three seasons with the Seminoles after transferring in ahead of the 2022 season after starting his career as a quarterback at Illinois. His speed also allowed him to serve as FSU’s kick returner.

 

His biggest moment as a Seminole came in 2023 against the Duke Blue Devils when he returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown. The score sparked FSU which went on to win 38-20 after trailing 17-7.h.
