The Chinese New Year game is part of the Nets Unite platform which seeks to build unity, celebrate culture, and foster equity by amplifying the rich traditions of our diverse community. 2025 is the Year of the Snake and to mark the occasion, 華人青年 (WAH YAN CHING NIN), presenting partner of the evening, has once again collaborated with the Nets to create a custom merchandise line featuring one crewneck sweatshirt and a t-shirt. These items will be sold exclusively in the Nets’ team store at Barclays Center, Brooklyn Fanatics, beginning Jan. 27.

Additionally, as presenting partner of the Nets’ Chinese New Year game, 華人青年 (WAH YAN CHING NIN) will take over the Nets’ player arrival tunnel with Chinese New Year branding and have a booth on the main concourse where fans can receive a free, commemorative badge to take home as a keepsake.

The Nets will celebrate the holiday in a variety of other ways including a cuisine carnival presented by Venturant Group and an Asian snack feast presented by OCM Globe Inc. The food carnival and snack feast will offer fans an authentic Chinese cuisine, snacks and beverages experience on the main and upper concourses. The festivities also include a red envelope giveaway for every fan in attendance, wishing good fortune for the new year. Each lucky red envelope contains a QR code that leads to a sweepstakes entry, presented by 華人青年 (WAH YAN CHING NIN). Additionally, PACT, a Chinese rapper, will perform during halftime, and there will be special dance routines and outfits throughout the game from Team Hype and the Brooklynettes that celebrate Chinese culture.

Prior to tip-off, there will be a pre-game reception featuring Chinese business executives and community leaders presented by YK Law (New Jersey) LLP. Additionally, player intros will be announced in Chinese, Nets players will wear custom Chinese New Year shooting shirts during warmups, and videos featuring Chinese New Year wishes from various players will be incorporated on the team’s social media channels and played in-arena during the game.

Ensuring the local community is also involved in the Chinese New Year celebrations, the Nets will host two Brooklyn Basketball clinics with more than 100 students at two schools in Brooklyn on Monday, Jan. 27. These clinics will integrate unique Chinese New Year themes, including a special Year of the Snake shirt, lantern making workshops, along with snacks and supplies provided by OCM Globe, Inc.

The game will be broadcast live on YES Network at 7:30 p.m. EST. WFAN is the official radio partner of the Brooklyn Nets. Tickets for the game are on sale now at
