Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing for the possibility of a future attacking change, with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland being monitored as a potential long-term successor to Harry Kane.
Kane’s current Bayern contract runs until June 2027, and recent reports indicate that the club remain confident of extending his stay.
Despite continued speculation linking Kane with Manchester United, a recent report citing Football Insider journalist Pete O’Rourke says Kane is currently happy at Bayern and there is no indication that he is actively seeking a move to Old Trafford.
That has not stopped Bayern from looking further ahead. According to TEAMtalk, the German club are carrying out due diligence on Haaland and want to remain involved if the Manchester City striker becomes available in the future. The timing of any potential move would depend heavily on Kane’s eventual departure.
Haaland remains one of Europe’s most prolific forwards. Reuters reported that he scored 58 goals for Manchester City and Norway during the 2025–26 season and was included alongside Kane on the 2026 Ballon d’Or shortlist.
For now, the reports point to planning rather than an imminent transfer. Bayern’s immediate priority is reportedly securing Kane’s future, while Haaland is being considered as a possible option for a later stage.
