surrounding Texas QB Quinn Ewers’ future, and whether it’ll be in the NFL or college football in 2025, that A to Z Sports’ Brian Davis floated the possibilities of Ewers and Arch Manning hitting the transfer portal depending on who Steve Sarkisian deems the starter for next season.
“Sarkisian will let this season play out, good or bad, with Ewers,” Davis prefaced before saying, “Then, the two will probably have some hard conversations. Would Manning be OK with waiting his turn another year? Would Manning hit the transfer portal? Who knows? Would Ewers leave — transferring somewhere else and not going pro — knowing that Texas fans want Manning to take the reins?”
Nothing is definitive. But everything is on the table.
