Breaking news five star QB commitment to Texas tech Make Important Front Office Signing…
The Tech program announced on Friday that a new three-year deal has been reached with Blanchard that will not only keep him in Lubbock through the 207 season but will also give him a raise.
“The success of our personnel department led by James Blanchard has obviously been noticed nationally with the significant interest he continues to generate annually,” McGuire said.
“We’re excited James and his family have chosen to remain Red Raiders and continue the work we started not long ago in building a consistent program that can compete for Big 12 titles. We’re much closer today than when we first arrived, and I look forward to continuing to work with James on further building out this roster.”
Texas Tech had the top-rated transfer portal class this winter under Blanchard and his staff, as the program has seen unprecedented success in the recruiting department. Tech posted consecutive top-25 classes for the 2023 and 2024 cycles with some services ranking them as high as No. 23.
McGuire, Blanchard and the program added 17 newcomers to an already talented roster on Blanchard’s watch, including All-Big 12 First Team linebacker Jacob Rodriguez and wideouts Caleb Douglas and Coy Eakin.
