There are a number of ways coaches say it, but all of them agree, you have to be able to run the football and control the line of scrimmage in the sport of football if you’re going to win at a high-level. The Georgia Bulldogs have been among the sports best football teams for nearly a decade. They haven’t finished outside the Top-5 in the final rankings since 2016.
Part of the reason is because they have never been outrushed by opponents in a season under Kirby Smart, that was until 2024
Florida could not miss to start the game, shooting over 60% from the floor in the first half. Georgia struggled to stop Florida guards Walter Clayton Jr. and Alijah Martin who both scored 17 points. Georgia has struggled with turnovers throughout this season,18 more today made it extremely difficult to find any rhythm offensively. Georgia hit 5 threes in the first half, but for the second week in a row, they did not make a three in the second half. Blue Cain led the team in scoring with 10 points

One player predicted to have a prosperous draft night is Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Jalon Walker. According to the latest mock draft released by NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah, Walker is expected to be selected by the Arizona Cardinals as the 16th overall pick in this year’s draft.
During the 2024 season, Walker shined at the linebacker position, racking up 61 total tackles and 6.5 sacks for the Bulldogs. In addition to his robust statistical output, the linebacker was the clear-cut leader of the Georgia defense and his efforts during the season helped him become just the third Georgia Bulldog to receive the Butkus Award. Should Walker’s draft prediction hold, he will become another name in the long list of Georgia Bulldogs defenders that have been taken in the first round under head coach Kirby Smart.
