Breaking news:.LSU football coach Brian Kelly landed top Star ⭐ commit Today…

LSU football coach Brian Kelly said the Tigers would be “very aggressive” in the transfer portal going into his fourth season, and players have already started making decisions.

Kelly indicated LSU would be willing to spend more money and sign “one of, if not the largest, transfer portal classes” in the country after steadily pivoting away from the transfer portal over the past three years.

“I’m excited about what the roster could look like,” Kelly said. “I’m excited about what kind of football team we can put on the field. It’s going to be a fun couple of months.”

The transfer portal opens from Dec. 9-28 and runs again from April 16-25 around spring practice. Players have to enter the transfer portal before the deadlines, but they can choose a new school at any time. Some players have already decided to enter the portal before it opens.

Mansoor Delane, CB, Jr. — One of the top available cornerbacks in the transfer portal, Delane started 29 games at Virginia Tech. He has recorded 146 tackles, six interceptions and 16 pass breakups. Delane is thought of as a versatile defender who could play cornerback, nickel or safety.

Jack Pyburn, DE, Jr. — Pyburn started the last eight games for Florida this past season, setting career-high in tackles (60) and tackles for loss (four). He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Michael Van Buren, QB, Fr. — As a true freshman at Mississippi State, Van Buren completed 54.7% of his passes for 1,886 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also rushed for five touchdowns. Van Buren has three years of eligibility remaining, giving LSU a potential successor to Garrett Nussmeier.

Jimari Butler, DE, R-Jr. — Butler turned into a starter at Nebraska, where he recorded 65 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 7 ½ sacks over three seasons. He has one more year of eligibility.

Barion Brown, WR/KOR, Jr. — One of the top playmakers available in the transfer portal, the Kentucky transfer has 1,528 yards receiving and 18 total touchdowns during his career. He also has an SEC-record five touchdowns on kickoff returns.
