The first was the official visit to UK for five-star class of 2025 power forward Caleb Wilson, who has been hearing more and more from head coach Mark Pope over the last couple of months. The Wildcats rolled out the
red carpet for Wilson during his stay in Lexington, treating him to an incredible Kroger Field atmosphere on Saturday night. Wilson linked up with the current team, met with class of 2025 commit Malachi Moreno, and even took a picture with Olympic gold medalist Masai Russell.
By all accounts, Wilson’s official visit to Kentucky couldn’t have gone any better. The entire coaching staff met to greet him at Bluegrass Airport on Friday night.
The second bit of news came on Saturday afternoon when four-star class of 2025 point guard Acaden Lewis included Kentucky among his four finalists, joining UConn, Duke, and North Carolina. Lewis had high praise for the Wildcats in an interview with On3’s Joe Tipton, mentioning how he believes he would fit well alongside Kentucky’s other 2025 commit, Jasper Johnson.
