On July 19, 2025, FC Köln announced that both Said El Mala and his brother Malek extended their contracts with the club until 2030. Said El Mala, born on August 26, 2006, in Krefeld, Germany, is a winger who has shown remarkable progress in his career. After being released from Borussia Mönchengladbach’s youth academy, he continued his development at TSV Meerbusch and later at Viktoria Köln. During the 2024–2025 season, while on loan at Viktoria Köln, he scored 13 goals and provided five assists in the 3. Liga, earning recognition as one of the league’s standout players.
