Breaking news ‘top-ranked 2026 CB Elbert Hill commitment to Florida state Seminoles over Alabama and Tennessee…
The Alabama coaching staff continues to make its rounds on the recruiting trail, and on Monday head coach Kalen DeBoer and offensive coordinator Nick Sheridan made their way to Nashville to see one of the top prospects in the nation.
Nashville Christian five-star quarterback Jared Curtis has the Crimson Tide in his top six and he’s beginning to set what could be his final visits before coming to a decision later this year. DeBoer and Sheridan are working hard to get out in front for the gunslinger.
The former Georgia commit dropped his top six last week and also locked in a trio of official visits this summer. Up next, though, is a trip back down to Tuscaloosa for Alabama’s junior day on Feb. 1.
“Coach Sheridan and Coach DeBoer, I feel like they showed what they can do their first year,” Curtis recently told On3. “They keep getting top-five recruiting classes and they have the guys around.”
Bama is battling Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon and South Carolina for the 2024 Gatorade Tennessee National Player of the Year. On Saturday, he set June OVs to Oregon, Georgia and South Carolina.
“I will wait until official visits to make my decision,” Curtis told On3’s Chad Simmons in December. “I will get out more. When official visits open up, I will get down on some visits, see the school and see what I like about it.
Coaching staffs from around the nation are making their way to Akron, Ohio to visit the top-ranked cornerback in the 2026 cycle, Elbert Hill.
The Archbishop Hoban star is feeling the love from plenty of top programs, including Alabama. On Monday, Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer and defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist stopped by to visit Hill:
“When we got down there it was just a good time,” the elder Hill said. “We got a chance to really talk to the coaches and everybody and it was crazy because we went down there for the Georgia-Alabama game. It was chaotic but they still found time to bring us in the office and talk to us and give us a description and plan and vision they have for him if he were to choose to come there.”
Oregon defensive backs coach Chris Hampton and Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore have also been by Hoban this month and Penn State is expected this week, too. Everyone is looking to grab Hill’s attention as he works through his process.
