Some Ole Miss football fans likely watched Ohio State’s win against No. 5 Notre Dame in the national championship game wondering: What if Quinshon Judkins had stayed?
The former Ole Miss running back was a huge reason for the No. 6 Buckeyes’ 34-23 win on Monday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Judkins, who transferred to Ohio State this season, rushed for two touchdowns with 100 yards on 11 carries. He also had a receiving touchdown with two catches and 21 yards.

In his first year with Ohio State, Judkins split carries with running back TreVeyon Henderson. Judkins finished this season with 1,082 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.

Judkins made an impact as a freshman for Ole Miss in 2022, rushing for 1,567 yards and 16 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2023. After those two strong years, he transferred to Ohio State.
