Meet the 6 Detroit Lions participating at 2025 Pro Bowl Games
The Detroit Lions will be well-represented at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando with six players participating in the event, marking the second straight year Detroit has sent at least five players to the competition.
The Pro Bowl Games begin Thursday, Jan. 30 with the Skills Showdown, culminating with additional skills competitions and the AFC vs. NFC flag football championship on Sunday, Feb. 2 at Camping World Stadium. All six Lions players will be featured in at least one Skills Showdown event while four will compete in the flag football game.
Here’s what to know about each Detroit Lions player heading to Orlando:
1. SS Brian Branch
In just his second season, Branch earned his first Pro Bowl nod and is the lone Lions defender to head to Orlando. In the regular season, Branch recorded 109 tackles (79 solo), 16 passes defended, six quarterback hits and four interceptions — two of which came in the 47-9 win over Dallas. Branch made the switch to safety this season, creating a dynamic duo with fellow safety Kerby Joseph, but his versatility as a nickel corner helped the Lions when injuries piled up defensively. In the win over San Francisco, Branch became the third defensive back since 1999 to record 100-plus tackles, 15 passes defended and five tackles-for-loss in a single season, joining cornerback Ronde Barber (2006) and safety Rodney Harrison (2000).

2. T Taylor Decker
Decker will be going to his first Pro Bowl, taking the place of fellow tackle Penei Sewell. The nine-year vet and Detroit’s first-round draft pick in 2016 earned a 77.0 PFF grade, which ranked 22nd of 141 tackles. Decker signed an extension last offseason that keeps him in Detroit through the 2027 season and has the third most games started at the position in franchise history with 126, behind Jeff Backus (191) and Lomas Brown (163).

3. P Jack Fox
Fox will make his second career Pro Bowl appearance. He was also recently given AP All-Pro first-team honors. Fox’s net punting average of 46.2 yards in the regular season set a new NFL record, beating Johnny Hekker’s 46.0 mark when he was with the Rams in 2016. Fox also led the league with a 51.0 gross punting average and became the first player in NFL history to average 51.0 gross yards and 46.0 net yards per punt in a single season. The Lions punted just 45 times in the regular season, the fewest of any team. Fox will be a starter for the event.

4. RB Jahmyr Gibbs
In a breakout second year, Gibbs received his first Pro Bowl invitation following his 2024 season where he ran for 1,412 yards and 16 touchdowns and added 517 receiving yards and four touchdown catches. His 5.6 yards per carry ranked third behind Baltimore’s Derrick Henry and Philadelphia’s Saquon Barkley. Gibbs set a new franchise single-season record with 20 scrimmage touchdowns and became the fourth player in NFL history to produce a season with at least 1,900 scrimmage yards, 16 rushing touchdowns and four receiving touchdowns, joining David Johnson (2016), Marshall Faulk (2000) and O.J. Simpson (1975).

5. QB Jared Goff
Goff finished his fourth season with Detroit and ninth overall, playing arguably the best football of his career. He set career-highs with a 72.4 percent completion percentage and 37 touchdown passes and ranked second in the league with 4,629 passing yards. During a six-game span from the Week 3 win at Arizona and Week 9 win at Green Bay, Goff recorded the highest completion percentage (82.8) and passer rating (140.1) by a player in a six-game span in NFL history. Goff was named a finalist for NFL MVP alongside Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Saquon Barkley. This will be Goff’s fourth Pro Bowl. He is the NFC’s starting quarterback.

6. C Frank Ragnow
Ragnow, Detroit’s first-round draft pick in 2018, will make his fourth career Pro Bowl appearance and his third consecutive. One of the best centers in football, Ragnow allowed just two sacks on 583 pass-block reps as Detroit allowed the 10th fewest sacks among all teams this season with 33. Ragnow also boasts a 90.8 run blocking grade by Pro Football Focus, which ranked third among centers. He will be the starting center for the NFC in Orlando.

T Penei Sewell and WR Amon-Ra St. Brown will not be participating despite being named to the original roster on January 2. Sewell will be replaced by Lions T Taylor Decker and St. Brown will be replaced by Giants WR Malik Nabers.
