Breaking news:Billy Napier announce Florida gators lands commitment from..

Billy Napier will continue as the Gators head coach. Florida has shown improvement

Brian Kelly and the LSU staff have landed a commitment from Florida cornerback transfer Ja’Keem Jackson, he revealed via social media on Saturday morning.

Jackson, an integral piece to the Gators’ defensive backfield prior to injury, heads to Baton Rouge with the chance to make an immediate impact for Corey Raymond’s secondary.

He spent two seasons with Billy Napier’s Florida program before entering the NCAA Transfer Portal as a redshirt-freshman.

In year one with the program, Jackson appeared in 11 games as a true freshman after bursting on the scene for the Gators.

Fast forward to his second season with the program in 2024 and Jackson missed a majority of the season after suffering an injury early in the year.

Florida Gators basketball has started 10-0 in Year 3 under head coach Todd Golden for the first time in nearly two decades, except this season, it is winning each game by double digits. Expectations have therefore been raised as this extremely talented roster has started the season hotter than any version of this team since the first that won a national championship.

The Gators reached another high mark on Monday when the latest college basketball rankings were announced. Florida moved up two additional spots to No. 7 in the AP Top 25 and an additional spot to No. 6 in the Coaches Poll. This as UF opened the campaign ranked in the preseason polls for the first time since 2019
