Breaking news:LSU Head coach Brian Kelly set part ways with million mega deal..

Brian Kelly is not a popular man in Baton Rouge lately; mainly since his recruiting flops have graced several LSU football news pages this week. As such, the last thing he needed was a poor showing against an unranked, 6-5, battered Oklahoma team — but that’s exactly what Tiger fans are getting.

Kelly’s recruiting has taken a turn for the worst lately, as earlier this week the Tigers lost two massive acquisitions. First, Kelly lost the No. 1 QB recruit in the nation, Bryce Underwood, to a $10.5 million NIL deal with Michigan then, just days later he loses 4-star EDGE Jesse Harrold.

Harrold didn’t even name another team he was interested in, he just didn’t want to play for Kelly.

Recruiting aside, Kelly has received extreme amounts of scrutiny from the Tiger fanbase during the Oklahoma game, in which the Tigers narrowly led the Oklahoma Sooners, 24-17, at halftime.

A big complaint has been Kelly’s incredibly liberal use of timeouts, with one X user describing him as the “Anti-Matt Eberflus,” about the Bears’ now ex-coach who refused to use his final timeout Thanksgiving day, resulting in a loss.

The Tigers entered Tiger Stadium tonight as a one-score favorite over the Sooners. Still, if not for a 100-yard kickoff return, fans would see the Tigers knotted up in this game, despite how bruised and battered this Oklahoma team is.

Kelly surely has many things he needs to figure out if he’s to keep his job at LSU, recruiting and strategy being two glaring issues that desperately require attention.
