It may have been a devastating year, but there are some bright spots to build on as Norvell leaned on his young talent as the season progressed.
Norvell has also been active in the transfer portal once again after signing 11 transfers during the winter period. But how does that strategy impact returning players next season?
Edwin Joseph showed much promise as a rotational DB and on special teams, whether it was an open-field tackle on a punt, a game-sealing interception to beat Cal, or blocking a field goal or a corner blitz from a nickel spot.
Joseph did it all, finishing with 3. 5 tackles for loss,1.5 sacks, an interception, and a pass breakup.
