CB COMMITMENT SHOCKER: 4-Star Recruit Chooses Florida Gators Over SEC Rivals
GAINESVILLE, FL – In a surprise move, 4-star cornerback recruit Tyler Scott has committed to the Florida Gators, choosing the Orange and Blue over several other top SEC programs.
Scott, a 6’2″ defensive back from Buford, GA, is widely regarded as one of the top cornerback prospects in the country. He held offers from a host of elite programs, including Alabama, Georgia, and LSU.
“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve committed to the University of Florida,” Scott said in a statement. “The Gators’ coaching staff, led by Coach Mullen, has a clear vision for the program, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
Scott’s commitment is a major coup for the Gators, who are looking to bolster their defensive backfield with top talent. His addition is expected to provide an immediate boost to the team’s secondary.
“We’re extremely proud to welcome Tyler to the Gator family,” said Florida head coach Dan Mullen. “He’s an exceptional athlete with a strong work ethic, and we’re confident he’ll make a significant impact on our team.”
