Congratulations:’Ryan Day head coach wife Nina welcome a child today Ohio celebrate…

Ryan Day and his family have been going through a lot since the end of the regular season. Wednesday night, Ohio State’s head coach and his family had a lot of fun.

Ohio State, the No. 8 seed in the College Football Playoff, throttled No. 1 seed Oregon, 41-21, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on Wednesday. The Buckeyes, who went 10-2 in the regular season with losses to Oregon and Michigan, have looked better than anyone since the College Football Playoff started. Day’s team blew out Tennessee in the first round and absolutely dominated Oregon for most of the Rose Bowl on Wednesday.

Following the game, Day caught up with his family. The Ohio State Buckeyes head coach had a three-word message for his wife and kids.

Day had a simple message for his wife and kids following the big win on Wednesday night.

“Was that fun?” a smiling Day told his wife and kids on Wednesday evening.

Day, who has been Ohio State’s head coach since 2019, has lost four straight games to Michigan. This has led to Buckeyes fans calling for his firing and some fans – the “lunatic fringe” as Kirk Herbstreit would call them – going way too far.

Herbstreit said on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this month that Day’s family has received troubling threats.

“I’m a friend of Ryan Day’s,” Herbstreit said. “I hear things that he and his family go through. Especially Nina, his wife. His son, who gets death threats from multiple, multiple people. And what it’s doing to them as a family. … When I hear that, it really frustrates me that he has to deal with putting an armed guard outside of his house 24/7 for his own fanbase. That hurts my heart that that is a reality for the Ohio State coach.

“Any time you hear me talk about the lunatic fringe, I get frustrated with that group of fans. Every fanbase has them. I just think the Ohio State fanbase, because they’re so passionate, I think that very local minority of 15 or 20% is as strong at Ohio State as it is anywhere.”
