Standing at 6-foot-7, Tournebize brings impressive size, international experience, and an intriguing skill set to the Gamecocks. Her potential has made her one of the young players to watch as South Carolina prepares for another competitive season.

🔥 A Promising Talent With Plenty of Potential

Tournebize joined South Carolina midway through the 2025–26 season after signing with the program in December 2025. Arriving from France, she had to adjust quickly to a new team, a different style of basketball, and the demands of competing in the SEC.

Despite having limited time to settle into the Gamecocks’ system, Tournebize showed flashes of her potential. Staley praised her fearlessness and soft shooting touch, while emphasizing that continued development and experience would be important to her progress.

👀 Can Alicia Tournebize Take the Next Step?

The upcoming season presents an important opportunity for Tournebize to build on her first experience in American college basketball.

With additional time to develop chemistry with her teammates and become more comfortable in Staley’s system, the young French forward could compete for a larger role in South Carolina’s frontcourt.

Her height and international background give her an intriguing foundation, but consistency, strength, and adapting to the speed of the college game will be important as she continues to grow.

For Staley and the Gamecocks, developing young talent remains an important part of building a team capable of competing for championships.
